Rector Search
Trinity Memorial's ninth rector retired in April 2007. The Rev. Paul C. Donecker has been our interim rector since May 2007.
We are in the discernment and search process to call the tenth rector of our parish.
Our position is listed in the (national Episcopal) Church Deployment Office Positions Open Bulletin. It is also listed on the Diocese of Central New York web site and it appears in the Transitional Ministry Newsletter.

January-February 2009
- Nominating Commission met to select D&S Team members
- D&S Team met to learn of the expectations and time commitment for the team.
March 2009
- Vestry approved D&S Team.
- Team commissioned at worship
April 2009
- Team began information gathering survey
- April 26 meeting with Bishop Adams
May 2009
- Parish survey May 3-15; available on-line and in hard copy.
- Web site re-designed
June 2009
- Parish meetings June 7, 9, 14, and 16 to review survey data
- Where are We Now? Where Are We Going?
July 2009
- July 12 meeting with Judy Fried, CNY DDO
- History Remembered, July 19 and 21
August 2009
- Vestry set minimum compensation and benefits package
- Completed forms for diocese and national church
- Rector Search Brochure prepared

- Nominations for the tenth rector of Trinity Memorial are welcomed
- Team prepared questions for conversations with candidates
December 2009
- Candidates vetted by diocese
January 2010
- Clergy materials prayerfully and confidentially reviewed
February 2010
- D&S subgroups will enter into phone conversations with all candidates
March 2010
- D&S subgroups will visit selected candidates at their current sites.
April-May (post-Easter) 2010
- Finalists and their families will visit Binghamton for an extended weekend. They also meet the bishop and diocesan staff.
June 2010
- D&S Team will present one candidate for approval by Vestry.
- Letter of Agreement with the rector-elect will be signed and the new rector will be announced.
- We will bid farewell to our interim rector

- Arrival of the tenth rector and his/her ministry begins!
