Our Prayer

Loving God,
We thank you
for the rich abundance in our lives.

Open our eyes to see that, in being so blessed,
we can in turn abundantly bless others.

Open our hearts to feel the powerful generosity
of your Spirit.

Open our ears to hear the needs of this church
and community.

Open our minds that, whenever called,
we offer the world our measureless love,
our generous time,
our unique talents and treasure.

Quicken our hands to your service,
breathe your Spirit
into us
and touch us
with the life of Christ.
Amen.

Annual Stewardship Campaign for 2010

StewardshipSeveral positive developments indicate a successful generosity campaign for the 2010 budget. As of December 31, 2009, the following results were achieved:

• The amount pledged was $182,579, for an increase over the prior year of 5.6%

• The number of increased pledges was 58

• The total dollar percentage of increased pledges was 11.3%

• The average pledge was $1,534, representing a 10.1% increase over the prior year.

Although the number of pledges was less (119 as opposed to 134 in the prior year,) those who responded more than carried their weight. It is especially noteworthy that these results came in a year when the capital campaign payments continue to be made and the nation and local economy are still in the throes of a recession.

Trinity also received 36 pledges of time and talent in a separate form that accompanied the treasure pledge cards.
