YOUTH and CHILDREN

Let the children come unto me, for such is the kingdom of heaven.

A number of groups and organizations provide programs and services to children and young people.

HAVEN
In October 2003 Trinity Church opened HAVEN, an after-school teen program seeking to benefit youth of promise. This safe place for teenagers is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 2:35 to 6 p.m.

Pizza Lunch is provided on Wednesdays at lunch hour for Binghamton High School students. Many of the lunchers are participants in HAVEN. They enjoy lunch and use of our gym during the lunch hour.

Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts have troops meeting at Trinity.

Mothers and Babies, a program of the Mothers and Babies Perinatal Network of South Central New York meets during the summer.

Sowing Seeds, a Christian debutante group, meets on Saturdays and teaches values and life skills to young women.

Upward Bound is a program of the U.S. Department of Education. It provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.

For more information, see the Upward Bound website at the U.S. Department of Education.
