On Sunday, April 23rd, Trinity Forums will feature “Solo Flight,” a one-woman play on the life of Jeannette Piccard, by the Binghamton actor Patricia Donohue. On July 29, 1974, the seventy-nine year-old Jeannette Piccard was one of the “Philadelphia Eleven,” women who were “irregularly” ordained priests in the Episcopal Church. Years earlier, in the 1930s, Piccard had piloted an enclosed-capsule balloon into the stratosphere with her husband, scientist Jean-Luc Piccard. Donohue’s hour-long play has been widely performed to critical acclaim and we are fortunate that she has agreed to present it to us, especially in this Easter season.
