Here you can find selected material from issues of Trinity Memorial Church's monthly newsletter, the Trinity Times.
Dorothy Babcock would like to share an update on her son Jonathan with us: a former member of Trinity Memorial’s choir, Jonathan is now Choirmaster at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Austin, Texas.
Jonathan and his choir have been invited to perform in Germany and The Czech Republic in June 2017.
2017 marking the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation has created a unique opportunity to remember this occasion where it started: The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd Choir will be the featured chorus during the Sunday Worship Service at St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, where Bach was the Cantor until his death in 1750. They will also have the opportunity to participate in a worship service in Berlin, sing informally at the Wartburg Castle and Schlosskirche (Castle Church) in Wittenberg and perform an evening concert in Prague.
They will also visit sites associated with the start of the Reformation, such as Luther's birth and death house, and the Castle Church in Wittenberg, where Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door in 1517, inviting both the faculty of the University in Wittenberg and the public to a disputation of his insights.
