A Record Number of Trinity Volunteers
The Labor Day Weekend 2017 Sunday Canteen (September 3) was hosted by Trinity Church—and we welcomed around eighty guests with a record number of parish volunteers.
An end-of-summer holiday menu of Nathan’s hot dogs, rolls, baked beans, hash browns, mixed vegetables, and a variety of desserts (coconut cream pie, apple pie, and cookies) was enjoyed by all. Preparation, serving, and clean-up was accomplished proving my Mother’s old adage that “many hands make light work.” Many thanks to Sharon Kaiser, Jean Shea, Regina Pereira, John Starks, Barbara and Steve Crowle, George Akel, Fred and Connie Alexander, Jim Albert, Rick Schumaker, Ken Lattimore, and Sarah Dougherty.
These Sundays are a great opportunity for fun and fellowship and service. Well done, my Trinity friends! We are next scheduled for hosting the Canteen on October 1. Don’t miss it!
