St. Patrick's Day Parade Recap and Thank You!
I want to thank everyone who helped support our outreach effort at Binghamton’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade on March 2. A special thank you to the Huff family for the use of the pop up tents, and the donation of bottles of water. The tents really created a hard-to-miss presence at the front of the church. The tents stood out even more, once Kathy coordinated decorating them. The awesome brownies that “Brownie Troop 44” (Cynthia, Jan, Deb and Robin) baked were a big hit. Offering “Really Good Brownies,” cookies, and especially the coffee, water and hot chocolate with marshmallows gave our cold guests a warm treat. Our mission was to warm hearts, souls, and bodies, by offering these treats for free. Many of the guests were deeply grateful for this kind gesture.
From set up to clean up, welcoming guests into the church and offering the use of our restrooms, we all had a great time together. Having had a float in the parade in years past was fun, but I think our hospitality made for an even better, personal interaction with the community.
Truly, it would not have been possible without every single one of you. We are very pleased with the outcome and very proud of the outreach Trinity offered to our community.
Blessings, Jeff Fellows
