Trinity Choir Fall Trip
We are delighted to announce that The Trinity Choir is boarding the bus in October to sing in two churches of the Anglican Communion. In Bay Village, Ohio, a western suburb of Cleveland, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church is springing to life after a difficult period of division. Our Choral Evensong will be the first choral service in the church in a decade. Crossing into Canada, we will unite with the excellent choir at St. James Anglican Cathedral, Toronto to join the cathedral choir in the Sunday morning Choral Eucharist. That same day we will sing Evensong on our own at the cathedral
Our trip will explore cities many of us do not know well. Our hotel in Ohio is at the Cleveland Arcade, America’s first indoor shopping mall opened in 1890. We will attend a Cleveland Orchestra concert in venerable Severance Hall. Before crossing the Peace Bridge into Ontario, we’ll enjoy an iconic Buffalo restaurant for lunch. In Toronto, our hotel The Omni King Edward is within sight of St. James Cathedral.
Motor coach will depart Binghamton at 9 am Thursday, October 10 and return Monday, October 14 about 4 pm. There’s space on the bus for “co-travelers”. The projected cost per person is $450, and includes transportation, 4 nights hotel, the Cleveland Orchestra ticket, two lunches and a dinner. Everyone needs a passport, or at least an enhanced driver’s license! If you’d like to join us, please email Tim Smith: firstname.lastname@example.org.
